Resumen
En este trabajo se presentan una definición y organización del campo de la historiografía de la lingüística. La complejidad del campo reside en su interdisciplinariedad a través de su larga historia, así como en la variedad de tradiciones, de aproximaciones, de “productos lingüísticos”, de contextos sociales y culturales que constituyen el curso evolutivo de la lingüística. El trabajo del historiador/historiógrafo de la lingüística abarca una fase de documentación, una fase de análisis e interpretación, y una fase de “exposición” de los resultados; se examinan aquí los parámetros y los problemas que intervienen en cada fase. En lo que concierne a los (sub)campos de la metahistoriografía y epihistoriografía se definen aquí las tareas esenciales. En conclusión, se insiste sobre la utilidad de la enseñanza de la historia/historiografía de la lingüística.
